The field note
This one starts while most of Dahab is asleep. Travel toward St. Catherine at night, begin the climb through the mountains in the dark and work your way toward the summit before sunrise, then watch the first light open up the landscape around you. It is an overnight hiking experience that requires real physical effort — not just a sunrise photo stop.
